Passage Of Time.

Waiting for you, is awaiting my favorite season.
And meeting you, is pausing it for eternity
These passages of time,
without you induce dormancy.
How do I feel alive with your arms around me?
How do I find normalcy?
I can touch you but I can’t feel you,
I can see your smile but not it’s depth,
There’s sorrow in your eyes that I see
There’s loneliness that I can’t set free
I can’t overshadow your worries
But I’ll be the silhouette that
You’ll always seek.
Melodies keep playing in my mind,
Longing for your hands weaving through my hair.
The flowing breeze is cold
And yet I sense warmth in the air
I can’t curl up to you, it’s unfair.
You’ve filled my heart with love
It keeps spilling over,
I want to soak all of it in,
Intertwine it with everything.
Your absence is haunting,
This silence is deafening.
Endless stories are lost in my heart,
Concealed in my smile, lies despair,
Because a wall of glass separates us
I cannot endure this yearning.
But there’s solace to be found in
The timelessness of our fleeting moments,
And my heart doesn’t know how to beat without your memories.
